America is having a BIG birthday this summer and PASD is ready to celebrate! This summer, the Phantom is packing his bags for a road trip…with YOU! He used his super powers to became his alter ego Phlat Phantom and is ready to hop into your suitcase in celebration of America’s 250th birthday. How should we celebrate you ask? Join us in a patriotic scavenger hunt that keeps you nearby or takes you far, far away. Our friends at the Phoenixville Historical Society have helped us create a summer full of adventure that will take you on a historical journey to learn all about the start of our country and beyond.
Staying local this summer? Take Phlat with you to complete a number of missions in the area and find out fun facts about the founding of our country. From local sites right here in Phoenixville to where it all started in Philadelphia, you and Phlat will take a look way back at America’s “baby pictures” and learn all about those early days.
Going a little further afield? While the country may have taken its first steps here in our region, America has grown up to include 50 great states and has so many stories to tell. Take Phlat with you and visit some of America’s best and brightest landmarks, historical sites, and beautiful landscapes.
Going even further? Phlat loves to see America, but he isn’t shy about venturing out to see her peers. Phlat has a valid passport and is ready to see the world. Learn how America has influenced and shaped our bigger world while you’re at it!
Families can participate as little or as much as they’d like. Customize your hunt to fit your existing travel plans or use the included missions to create fun day trips or more. Compete as individuals or as teams and rack up your knowledge of America and your points.
There will be opportunities to earn prizes along the way and also compete for some big titles at the end. We’ll celebrate everyone when we get back to school in the fall in a special event that we’ll announce soon.
